Mobility Management

The idea and the concept of an efficient public transport system for rural areas based on buses and taxis, implemented with free software (FOSS4G) and free data (OpenStreetMap), received an 8-month sponsorship from an IT support program of the Japanese government.
Under this program a prototype will be developed and some simulation will be carried out. The implementation of new algorithms and features for the optimization of passenger transportation will be done on behalf of the pgRouting project.
