pgRouting
pgRouting is an extension of PostGIS to provide "shortest path" functionality. With the pgRouting module route planning functionality can be added to a PostGIS database. pgRouting allows the creation of routing topologies and solving various shortest path optimization problems.
Since the start of the project Anton Patrushev is the core developers of the routing library. Daniel Kastl cares about the community work, support, documentation and applications that make use of pgRouting.
