WebSI Cola
WebSI-Cola (Web Service Intergator) is an Open Source Webservice Integration Framework written in Java. It makes use of another Open Source framework called "Restlet", that provides tools for running a ReSTful server as well as connecting to clients. Through JDBC for example a connection to a database can be established and queries to that database can be made through a web interface, but also external web services can be accessed and integrated.
WebSI-Cola is an interface and a gateway together at the same time. It can transform input and output data into the required formats, and it provides the results in well-known and standardized formats such as OGC standards for example.
A first implementation will focus on integrating pgRouting and related functionalities:
- Interface to PostgreSQL/PostGIS/pgRouting
- ReST API for routing requests
- Template system vor various formas (i.e.. KML, GML, GeoJSON, OpenLS)
- Transformation of coordinate systems
- GetCapabilies requests for available services
- Support of configurable profiles
WebSI-Cola is currently not published yet as an Open Source project. Though Georepublic is planning to release an initial public release during 2010.
Please help us with your project to support the development of WebSI-Cola!
